I’m Renée — a Georgian Bay Freelance Writer & Creator
Born and raised along the shores of Georgian Bay, I have always been a natural dreamer and creator. My curious, creative eye grew from a childhood spent running around my small town, lingering down to etched shorelines, and digging my bare feet into wet sand. I have spent the early years of my life learning how this land grows, and my older years understanding how it behaves.
My work revolves around the raw, unedited connection between nature, home and the body. I am passionate about understanding how trauma lives in the body and examining how our past foregrounds the future. I am currently working on a personal memoir about my experience of being diagnosed with a chronic illness.
Creating meaning through words isn’t all I do. I can often be found with my 35mm film camera in hand.
